Compiz Plugins Goodness

If you’re using Compiz/Xgl, check if you have the annotate plugin.  If you do, make sure it loads before screenshot:

Then you can draw with your mouse (check GConf /apps/compiz/plugins/annotate/ keys for default key/button combinations) and take a screenshot including annotations, like so:
